Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is confident he enjoys the full support of owner Roman Abramovich following a difficult fortnight heading into Saturday’s clash Blackburn vs Chelsea.
“At the moment, he (Abramovich) is good,” said the Portuguese football manager. “We don’t avoid our responsibilities for winning titles.
“We will defend this philosophy to the death, but what is expected from us as a top club is to win titles.”
The Blues are hoping to avoid a repeat of last year’s mid-season dip which proved costly as they gave up the title to the Red Devils.
In other Saturday matches, it’s Manchester United vs Sunderland and Liverpool vs Swansea City. Liverpool go into the game without injured captain Steven Gerrard after their manager revealed the midfielder would miss this fixture along with the upcoming England friendlies because of his ongoing ankle trouble.
